We Suck Fansubs

It's been a while, but it's errata time. In episode 9, Ensei said he had tried to take the 'junshi', which we translated as Ten Day Exam. This is because there's a word 旬試 pronounced junshi that means ten day exam. This is an actual word. In working on episode 10, we found that the characters used in the novels were 準試. This is not an actual word. As an added bonus, the novels explain the difference between 準試 and 国試 (kokushi), whereas the anime leaves it as an exercise to the imagination. (The difference is that the 国試, the Imperial Examination, is meant for those seeking high level positions in the imperial government, as well as other high positions like provincial governor, whereas the 準試 is for those seeking lower level positions.) After juggling some possible translations that would have been technically correct in a vacuum but that might have had some unintended implications, we've decided on Basic Examination as the translation we'll use going forward, and as the errata to that line in episode 9.
