Two points.
One, some people asked why we didn't so some sort of pre-distro step. If lavalyn is saturating his residential broadband connection's upload bandwidth, it makes more sense for him to do it seeding a bittorrent file than sending it exclusively to some other single machine somewhere, regardless of how fast that machine's connection is. Experience shows exactly what we would expect out of a torrent, which is that the time between the first completed download and the next few hundred completed downloads is less than a minute. That's a lot less than you'd have to wait for all of those downloads to go from 0 to 100 on direct download.
Second, BlueImpulse pointed this out in a comment a little while ago, but I thought I'd bring it to the front page: Episode 11 is being preempted. It will air on January 26th instead.

Since there doesn't seem to (yet) be a general comment-on-the-episdoe area, I'll start one here...

First just a minor comment about the video quality in #10... it's about the same as #9.. definitely watchable, though not as clear and more blurry than the earlier ones (1-8). Not a big deal, don't know if it was raws or compression or what, simply wanted to point it out.

Onto the episode itself:
Three words: You Guys Rock!
Excellent job -- even more so than your usual great job... all those references, from the Russian names to the idiomatic expressions to everything else.. a lot of us really do recognize and appriciate the fullness and quality of the translation.. it's complete, not stilted, nor is it dumbed down. While watching I couldn't help but think there'd be no commercial fansub that would ever use "direct object" or give footnotes to all the Russian-sounding names. Really nice job on this one! (PS: Is Tatu a Russian rock band? I don't know my rock bands at all, but once did some work for what I thought was an American rock band, and they were called Tatu. But as I said, I don't know my rock bands, I just remember doing some tracks for a band who called themselves that).

I've got to get me some "Karin" brand Mets Grapefruit Soda next time I hit her library.. :)

The seiyuu for Anju sure had an easy gig on this episode. For #9 she had tons of lines, but this time around, got paid an episode for saying one word: "urusai." I'd take that gig.

One comment from the manga that sadly didn't get put into the anime was a comment by Maki (upon seeing Karin's poor grades), saying something to the effect of "well, with a name like Maaka, maybe it was inevitable" (Maaka meaning deep red, as in the color of the markers teachers use to check off wrong answers).

Anyway nice job on this one!

t.A.T.u. are originally from Russia, but they did have a hit internationally with 'All the Things She Said'. (Perhaps others also. I'd heard of them before this episode, although I didn't know the names of the members until I started researching the names in the book.)

tatu... thanks, interesting. Oh, and one correction, upon looking at the episode again, I realized Anju does have one line towards the beginning as well. Still and easy gig for her. Great job, will be hard to wait 2 weeks for the next one!

I Downloaded all of them so far and love it, I like the Subbing but sometimes i see the Typos :P not a big deal very understandable, cant wait for the next one keep up the good work, and i dont really notice the Blur at all could just be my eyes :P
