Are there really only 12 eps?

Unfortunately, there are only 12 episodes of Rocket Girls.
Having said that, there are currently 3 volumes of the Rocket Girls light novel out in Japan, with a new volume released in mid-August (8 years after the previous volume was released). The current Rocket Girls anime covers the first two volumes of the light novel. Who knows, maybe if the current Rocket Girls anime is popular enough and if Nojiri Housuke (the person who writes the light novels) continues to produce enough source material, they'll produce a second season of Rocket Girls...
